Sr Karen Stander

Midwife

  • Completed 4 year diploma in nursing at SAMHS nursing college through UNISA in 2002.

  • Started career in nursing in 1 Military Hospital, maternity ward.

  • Relocated to Oudtshoorn and worked at Mediclinic George for 1 Year and Then Mediclinic Klein Karoo for 14 years.

  • Managed the Medi Twinkle clinic in Mediclinic Klein Karoo for 5 years

  • Served as registered BLS instructor for the hospital for 4 years.

  • Member of the Childbirth Educators Professional forum in South Africa

  • Started own Well Baby Clinic in 2013,

  • Completed dispensing course 2013

  • Relocated to Pretoria in February 2021 and is currently permanently employed at Mediclinic Kloof Obstetrics Ward 2
